I wanted to try something new, to try and bring life back to my hair, without having to go to the salon. This shampoo did just that. Within the first two weeks of using it, my hair felt softer, not as greasy, and looked fuller than it has in the past. The only con I can think of is that the liquid is really back, so be prepared for a messy shower, with black suds on the walls and tub.
Got this because we like other charcoal products. Arrived in a flimsy mailer bag with other products. No padding, no wrapping, nothing to protect from breaks or leaks. I was shocked ... but happy that it didn't leak or break. My older daughter was able to try it. It was quite "watery" and black. The suds were gray and messy. First shampoo it didn't suds at all. (We are in a heat wave right now, and she was mowing the grass ... her hair was quite sweaty and dirty). She gave it a second shampoo and this time it had a little sudsiness. But not big volumes of bubbles. She says her hair felt very clean .. and she felt her hair needed conditioning after this shampoo. Great for this hot summer heat with sweaty heads. But not for every shampooing.
Update- After using this shampoo for about 4 weeks, I am losing tons of hair. I thought it was my hair getting used to using new shampoo, but no, I am losing 3 times as much hair as was before. I stopped using this and the hair loss was a little less. I don't recommend using this. I feel it's way to strong for my hair. --- The shampoo doesn't really have a scent to it and is black in color. It's not as thick as shampoo but somewhat watery. The suds made a grey color on my head but didn't really make a mess in the shower. The shampoo cleaned my hair really well almost stripping it and it did squeak barely. The shampoo didn't contain any softening oil (like coconut oil) to offset my hair getting too clean (stripped). I did have to add conditioner because I couldn't run my finger through my hair. After drying my hair, it really didn't feel any difference in hair/scalp quality. I will update if this charcoal shampoo really made any difference.
I love it! I have brown hair with highlights and my hair Salon used it after highlights so I bought it. It takes the brassy off highlights and makes my dull Brown hair more vibrant! The scent is wonderful. My only complaint is that they don't have a charcoal conditioner. I will so buy again!
I've never tried anything charcoal on my hair before, but I do use it in a lot of facial scrubs/cleansers so I wanted to see how this would work for my hair. I was a little worried because the bottle had leaked a bit during shipping, so when I took it out and tried to wipe off the bottle some of it wouldn't come off with just water and a paper towel. The one thing I really, really like about this charcoal shampoo is that you can tell whether or not you've rinsed it all out. If the water runs clear, you're good. I always worry that I'm not getting all the shampoo out of my hair, so this is kind of a neat accidental feature. I feel like this is more of a hair mask than a shampoo. It really didn't lather much, and it felt more difficult to coat my hair with than something that's more soapy and creamy. It just has this slighty-above-water, liquid type of feel to it (like, I almost think you might be able to put it in a spray bottle). While I don't really like this as a regular shampoo, I did like that it removed every bit of residue from my hair. I've been trying to do that thing with vinegar that a lot of my friends are doing to get rid of soap residue in my hair, but that usually ends up making it worse for me (also I hate the smell of vinegar). This doesn't really have much scent to it, and it did a way better job of stripping the garbage out of my hair. The only problem is that I think it also sucked a lot of the moisture out. I decided when I first tried this to only use the shampoo and no conditioner so I could see how it did on its own, and while I feel like the level of clean is top tier, that's about all it has going for it. So, if you're looking for a moisturizing and nourishing shampoo, this ain't it. If you just want something to get all the gunk out of your hair every so often, this seems like a really solid choice for that specifically.
I have long hair (past my elbows), hair type 3a, very fine, very fragile, and very dry hair. I shampoo every 4-5 days and use an oil treatment on my scalp for most of those days. About once a month, I do an ACV (apple cider vinegar) rinse to help remove buildup. I'm not overly fond of ACV as it irritates my skin and can sting, so I was curious about trying a charcoal shampoo for periodic more intensive cleansing. This is a huge bottle. I'm not sure if the $35 price is a good value for this size, but compared to premium brands like Nexus it's comparable, maybe slightly more. There isn't a scent I can detect. The product is watery, similar to the consistency of Hershey's syrup rather than thicker shampoo. I had to use a few more pumps of product than I normally would for shampoo. It foamed up well, even with my very hard water. I massaged it in, let sit for 5 minutes, and then rinsed my hair for another 5 minutes to make sure all traces of it were out. The black does splash in the shower but it didn't stain and it rinsed off without issue, though if you have porous surfaces you may want to test this first to make sure it doesn't stain. My hair definitely felt squeaky clean but not overly dry. I followed up with my usual conditioner and let my hair air dry. It felt so soft! I was most surprised at my roots. They were silky, not dry. This seems to have worked very well with cleaning my scalp without over drying my roots. I'll keep using this shampoo for every 3rd or so hair washing day. Recommended if you are looking for something new and want to give charcoal a try (note it's CHARCOAL, not carbonic acid).
This shampoo arrived with the pump attached to the side and a real screw cap on the shampoo bottle with a large piece of tape keeping it closed, which I truly appreciate! The pump when on the bottle works with with no issues. The bottle is big and will last me a very long time, maybe half a year. I have tape-in hair extensions and don't wash my hair every day. This shampoo has a watery gel-like consistency that is clear but with a slight purple tint. It smells semi-sweet and floral, kind of like a perfume, but it's a light scent and not overwhelming. It lathers well and rinses out easily. I've tried it after oiling my hair and it got the oil out, which is a real test. Using this without conditioner, my hair is a bit dry and unruly, but it always is. Along with conditioner it's great and does its job well. The scent lingers a bit but it's light. Smells like a perfume I've smelled before, but I can't put my finger on it. It's a nice shampoo and I'm happy to have it!
I've never used a Quinoa Protein Shampoo, so I decided to give it a try with the Morfose Professional Shampoo. This comes in a large plastic bottle with an easy-to-use pump top. I first noticed that this is paraben and sulfate-free, which I prefer. I also like that the packaging is recyclable, and this isn't tested on animals. The shampoo has a nice consistency and a subtle fresh fragrance. The first time I used this shampoo, I felt I needed to use more than I normally would in order to get a good lather. I soon discovered that all I had to do was add a little more water to my hair after applying the shampoo and that eliminated the need to use more shampoo than normal. The shampoo lathers well, and it's easy to rinse out. This left my hair feeling clean and soft. I do feel this is a nice, quality shampoo and I recommend it!
This product isnt what I would personally call shampoo. on use I noticed how thin it was and thought that was odd for a shampoo. It also doesnt lather much and isnt exactl "soapy" like you would expect. However I will say that my hair did feel stripped of dirt and possibly previous soaps after use. All in all I may would consider using this once a week or a month but its not something I would be comfortable with using full time.
At 33.8 fl ounces, this is a very large bottle of shampoo. It has a sturdy pump dispenser lid and is in a plastic bottle so it is user-friendly in the shower or bath. The shampoo is a clear liquid with a medium consistency. It has a mild and fresh scent. It took about two quarter-size dollops of the shampoo (more than I expected) to create a full lather in my shoulder length hair. (I have dry, damaged, thin hair.) Per the instructions, I left the lather in for a few minutes and then rinsed. I did NOT use a conditioner after shampooing so that I could judge the performance of just the shampoo. I blew dry my hair and then used a curling iron. The shampoo left my hair soft and shiny and I actually thought my hair felt thicker than normal. It did not discolor my hair like some shampoos; however, it did NOT help my "frizzies". The ad states this is "repairing" - but does not refer to how long one needs to use the product to see repairing results.
Shampoo was ok. I found it a bit runner than I am used to and I do need to have more than normal as well. It does eventually lather just fine and smells good. The result was nothing special. It is however decent, wasn't terrible, wasn't fabulous.
The shampoo is a thicker product than i’m used to. so I did not need a lot of product to clean all of my hair. It leathers up nicely, and I feel like a little bit will go along way. It smells nice and promises to be paraben sulfate free etc. etc. but some of the ingredients are questionable. there are a number of irritants and endocrine disruptors in this product. Not sure I would order this again but if you are OK with some of these ingredients, it’s overall a good shampoo left my hair, feeling clean.

It is over a bit more pricey at $35.50, though, for the price, as opposed to the supermarket brands, but I feel like it does help my hair a bit more.
Morfose Quinoa Shampoo is a great shampoo for my hair. It's nourishing, leaves my hair soft and shiny, and has a delightful scent. It's both paraban and sulfate free. The only concern I have is the cost. It's certainly on the more expensive side; however, given the quality and the large size, I believe it's still worth it. Highly recommend!
She never tried quinoa based shampoo so I decided to get her this to try. Doesn't smell funky and she absolutely feels the difference in her hair. We need the conditioner. My wife has great hair, it isn't damaged but she's always willing to try new natural products. She gives this a thumbs up!
The price is good for the size. The shampoo fells that make a really good cleaning, I’ve been using once a week sometimes every other week not as my everyday. The scent is ok and I’ll probably order again.
When this package first arrives it had a small cracked in it and was leaking clack goo everywhere. I still wanted to try the shampoo so I poured the contents into an empty body wash container. It is very watery. And it doesn't lather very well. I'm not sure if my product was defective. Not sure about this one.
I'm really happy with this shampoo. It has a lighter fragrance than some shampoos, which is very appreciated. I feel like my hair looks a bit fuller with it than some shampoo products--I don't feel like it weighs my hair down. The only thing I'm not a huge fan about is that the shampoo seems like it has a thinner consistency compared to some shampoos. I find it a little challenging since I pour shampoo into my hand first, to work it in. With the thin consistency, it's easy to lose some of the shampoo. However, once it's sudsed up, it creates a very nice lather that's easy to work through my hair. I do like it . . . the only thing I wish were different is the consistency, which is just something I have to be mindful of to avoid wasting product.
In my opinion, this shampoo is meant as a clarifying shampoo. As such, it is less drying than I had imagined. It did make my scalp itch a little so I did not leave it on quite as long as i might. Honestly, leaving a shampoo on for 5-10min is a little silly, It is a black shampoo and as such, it is somewhat messy. It is also a little runny and I felt like I had to be super careful in order to not get it everywhere. As a clarifying shampoo, I like it.
After trying the Morfose Professional Quinoa Protein Shampoo, I've noticed my hair seems healthier. The quinoa protein truly strengthened my strands. I'm not currently coloring my hair, but it also offers color protection. The shampoo also did a great job of soothing my scalp and nourishing my hair from root to tip, improving its overall appearance. I've also noticed less dullness, which might be due to the UV protection the product offers. My hair has been much more manageable and noticeably softer. The fact that this shampoo is paraben-free was an added bonus, as it gives me peace of mind that I'm not using harsh chemicals. The description keeps using the word creamy, but this shampoo is clear and actually seemed a little thinner than most when pumped out of the bottle. It has a pleasant floral-type scent that's not overpowering. I'm really quite pleased with it and will keep using it every day.
I’m impressed with how soft this leaves my hair. I have very dry, course, dyed hair that I not only use a wash out conditioner with, but also a leave in conditioner. With this shampoo I used neither and I can’t believe how soft my hair is. It lathers and cleans well. It is a bit expensive but then I factored in the conditioner I’m not using and it might be worth it.
I have never heard of or tried quinoa shampoo. I was very interested in trying this shampoo to see what it was about. I like the scent and it’s a very thick consistency shampoo. I like that it doesn’t take much to build up a good lather. It my hair feels clean and very moisturized. It’s soft and definitely more manageable now. I also like that this is a huge bottle of shampoo. I like the pump top so that’s easy to use in the shower
This is the very first time I have even heard of a quinoa shampoo and I must admit, I was extremely skeptical. The shampoo promises a sulphate, parabens, and salt free formula. Gently cleanses hair and scalp and does not induce scalp irritation. It has 8 different languages that I could tell of how to use and warnings. I like the pump bottle so much better for my bigger shampoo bottles. It makes it so much easier than having to pick up a heavier bottle in the shower where it is a slippery weight that I can drop on my toes. This bottle is a 33.81fl oz bottle. I applied a palm sized amount in my hand and rubbed throughout my scalp and hair and this lathered nicely. I had to apply just a little bit more but, I do have hair almost to my waist. I left this on for about 3 minutes before rinsing. I do feel like it left my hair clean. The scent is great. My only concern is it advertises salt free and in the ingredients there is sodium benzoate. Also several of the ingredients concern me for dry and color treated hair. The ingredients are aqua,sodium C14-16 olefin sulfonate,coco-glucoside,cocamide DEA,PEG-120 Methyl,glucose dioleate,caprylyl/capryl glucoside,parfum,glycerin,amodimethicone/morpholinomethyl silsesquioxane copolymer,trideceth-5, chenopodium quinoa seed oil, limonene,hexyl cinnamon,hydrolyzed keratin,phenoxyethanol, magnesium nitrate, magnesium chloride,methylchloroisothiazolinone,methylisothiazolinone,ethylhexylglycerin,sodium benzoate. I do suffer from dry scalp and with several of the listed ingredients very bad for dry scalp, I will not be able to use this shampoo. It is frustrating when something is sold to not induce scalp irritation and for dry hair but yet the ingredients say the complete opposite. I personally will not use this again and recommend everyone take their own precautions as if it is for you or not. I hope you find my review helpful.
I've been using this shampoo on my color treated hair for about a week, and I love it. It has an amazing smell. It lathers and makes your hair so clean. My hair is so shiny and looks great. This is a great shampoo.

This shampoo is very thin and watery and does not lather significantly. That being sed I love it. It made my hair so soft and silky. The sent is amazing too. I think it's a great value for the price just know that you won't feel all thoes bubbles normal shampoos have.
I got this to try on my hair. I like the idea of the charcoal cleansing my hair, although I’m not worried too much about darkening it. I like that it is pretty much scentless and you get a good quality for the price.
