Why a stick
Aim it.

A tub of wax is a blunt instrument. You take too much, warm it in your palms, and by the time it reaches the hairline it is everywhere — on your hands, through the lengths, on the hair you never meant to touch. The stick removes that whole step. You draw it over the exact centimetre you want to control, and nothing else in the room gets waxed.

Turn the base to raise a few millimetres of wax. That is enough for a full hairline.
