Mega Hold is the strongest wax in the Ossion barber range, made for hair that does not cooperate. Thick, coarse, unruly or fast-growing hair that shrugs off ordinary wax within an hour — this holds it. It grips hard enough for extreme shapes and full-day wear while still finishing with shine rather than a dry, powdery look.
Who it's for: thick and unruly hair, dramatic volume, and anyone who has tried strong waxes before and watched the style drop anyway. On fine hair it will be more hold than the hair needs — Medium or Extra suits that better.
How to use: a pea-sized amount is enough even for thick hair. Warm it fully between your palms until it turns clear, then work through dry hair section by section. Build in layers rather than applying it all at once.
In the range: Mega is the top of the Ossion hold scale — Medium → Extra → Ultra → Mega.
Ultra Hold is built for shapes that must not move. Pompadours, quiffs, high volume on top, sharp partings that need to look the same at 9pm as they did at 9am — this is the wax that holds them. The grip is strong from the first application, but the wax stays workable long enough to build the shape before it sets, and it finishes shiny rather than dull or chalky.
Who it's for: structured, high-volume styles and hair that tends to collapse by midday. Also the right choice if you use a hairdryer to build volume and need something to lock it in afterwards.
How to use: warm a pea-sized amount until clear, then apply to dry hair — this wax needs dry hair to reach full strength. Build the shape first with your hands, then use a comb for a sharper finish.
In the range: Ultra is the second strongest — Medium → Extra → Ultra → Mega. Step up to Mega only if your hair is thick and genuinely fights back.
A heat protectant spray for men that puts a thin barrier between your hair and a dryer, iron or clipper-adjacent heat. It slows how fast heat reaches the cortex and spreads it more evenly, so you get fewer of the hot spots that blister the cuticle.
Who it's for: anyone who blow-dries daily or uses a straightener — a dryer on high runs around 300°F at the nozzle, which is more than enough to roughen hair over months.
How to use: mist evenly over damp hair before blow-drying, or over dry hair before an iron — never on soaking hair, since trapped water steams the cuticle. Cover the section rather than soaking one spot.
What you'll notice: hair that stays smoother and shinier after styling, and less of the dry, straw-like texture that daily heat builds up. It buys margin; it does not make hair heat-proof.
Matte Hold is the shine-free option in the Ossion barber range. It gives the same barber-grade control as the shiny waxes but leaves no gloss at all, so the hair reads as thick, textured and freshly cut rather than styled. That makes it the natural choice for messy crops, textured fringes and the undone-but-deliberate looks that shine actively works against.
Who it's for: anyone who wants control without looking like they used product, and fine hair that needs the visual thickness a matte finish creates — shine flattens fine hair, matte does the opposite.
How to use: warm a pea-sized amount between your palms, then work it through dry hair with your fingers, pushing upward at the roots for texture. Skip the comb — combing removes the separation that makes a matte style work.
In the range: Matte holds around the same strength as Medium and Extra, with the shine removed. For a matte finish with more grip, pair it with Ossion Hair Styling Powder at the roots.
A matte pomade built for hair that fights back. The medium-firm hold is strong enough to bring wavy or unruly hair into line, but the finish stays completely shine-free, so the result reads as natural texture rather than a set style. Water is the first ingredient, carried in ozokerite wax for the grip.
Who it's for: wavy and coarse hair that resists lighter products, and anyone who wants pomade-level control without the gloss a classic pomade leaves behind.
How to use: take a fingertip of wax, warm it between your palms and work it through clean, dry hair. Shape with your fingers. Apply to dry hair rather than damp — water dilutes the hold.
In the range: sits between Matte Putty (softer, flexible) and Matte Styling Wax (stronger, longer-lasting) in the Ossion matte trio.
The softest hold in the Ossion matte trio. The creamy putty texture spreads easily and leaves hair movable all day — you can run your hands through it and reshape without the style cracking. Matte finish, with water as the first ingredient.
Who it's for: anyone who wants texture and separation rather than a fixed shape, and shorter styles that only need light guidance. A good starting point if firmer waxes have felt heavy.
How to use: take a fingertip of putty, warm it between your palms and work it through clean, dry hair. Shape with your fingers and rework whenever you like.
In the range: the flexible end of the Ossion matte trio. Step up to Matte Pomade for medium hold or Matte Styling Wax for strong hold.
The strongest of the three Ossion matte waxes. It holds a shape through the day without stiffening, and finishes completely dry — no gloss, no wet look. Water-based, so despite the grip it still rinses out with a normal wash.
Who it's for: styles that need to hold their shape all day — structured crops, defined fringes, sharp partings — on hair that lighter waxes let drop by the afternoon.
How to use: take a fingertip of wax, warm it between your palms and work it through clean, dry hair from the roots out. Shape with your fingers. Build up gradually; this one goes a long way.
In the range: the firm end of the Ossion matte trio, above Matte Pomade (medium) and Matte Putty (flexible).
An alcohol-based disinfectant spray for barbering and grooming tools. It evaporates fast and leaves no oily residue, so clipper blades, scissors, combs and trimmer heads are ready to use again within seconds.
Who it's for: barbers and salons working between clients, and anyone maintaining their own clippers and beard tools properly at home.
How to use: clean hair and debris off the tool first, then spray to cover the blade or surface evenly and let it air dry. Do not wipe it off — the contact time while it dries is what does the work. Keep it away from heat and open flame, and off skin and eyes.
What you'll notice: tools that stay hygienic between uses and a light citrus scent rather than a harsh chemical one.

What is actually in it
Most sea salt sprays are water, salt and a hold polymer. Read the full list on this one and there is more going on. Sodium chloride sits second, so the salt is not a trace amount; VP/VA copolymer sits third and is the film former that holds the shape you scrunch in. After that come three hydrolysed proteins — corn, wheat and soy — four seaweed extracts (Codium tomentosum, Ecklonia cava, Gelidium cartilagineum, Hizikia fusiforme) and five mineral ferments carrying copper, iron, magnesium, silicon and zinc.
Glycerin, propylene glycol and butylene glycol are in there as humectants. That combination is the point: salt pulls moisture out of the strand, and those are what stop the finish going brittle. There are no silicones in the formula.
This one or the Morfose version?
Same formula, different scent. Ingredients one through twenty-nine match the Morfose Sea Salt Spray label exactly — same salt level, same VP/VA copolymer, same three proteins, four seaweeds and five mineral ferments. The Ossion version is finished with cedarwood (acetyl cedrene) and patchouli over the shared citrus top notes, which is where the warmer, woodier barbershop scent comes from.
If you want the same texture without the woody finish, take the Morfose one.
How to use
Shake. Mist over damp hair, work it through with your fingers and either leave it to dry or rough-dry on low for more lift at the root. On short and mid-length men's cuts two or three passes is usually enough; go heavier for a messier, more separated finish. Pairs with a matte wax or clay if you want hold on top of texture — see men styling products.
Sea salt spray questions
Do you put sea salt spray on wet or dry hair? Damp is where it works best — towel-dried, not dripping. On soaking hair the salt dilutes and the VP/VA copolymer cannot form a film, so you lose the grip. On bone-dry hair you get texture but less shape.
Is salt spray damaging for hair? Salt draws moisture out, which is why a spray that is only salt and water leaves hair feeling like straw. This one carries glycerin, propylene glycol and butylene glycol as humectants plus three hydrolysed proteins, which is what keeps the texture from turning brittle. It still is not a leave-in conditioner: if your hair is already dry, use it on the mid-lengths and follow with a leave-in.
Should you use it before or after other products? First, on damp hair, before cream or oil. Anything with a film or an oil on it coats the strand and the salt then has nothing to grip.
How do you get the most texture out of it? Spray in sections, scrunch with your hands rather than combing, and let it air-dry or rough-dry on low. Brushing it out afterwards removes the grit you just built.
A semi permanent hair color in mousse form — no developer, no mixing, no commitment. It washes out gradually over several shampoos rather than growing out as a hard line, which is what makes it usable for covering grey at the temples or refreshing tone between salon visits.
Who it’s for: men who want to soften grey without committing to permanent colour, and anyone testing a shade before going permanent.
How to use: apply the mousse to clean, towel-dried hair with gloved hands, distribute evenly, leave for the time on the pack, then rinse. Start with less time than you think on the first application — you can always repeat it.
Worth pairing: semi permanent colour is gentler than permanent but still opens the cuticle. A bond repair treatment afterwards keeps the hair from going porous.
A transparent shaving gel in a salon-size bottle. The ultra-lubricating formula lets the blade glide instead of dragging, which is what actually prevents razor burn — and because the gel is clear, you can see the line you are cutting rather than shaving blind through foam.
Who it's for: barbers working through a full day, and anyone shaving a defined beard line at home where precision matters more than lather.
How to use: apply a thin layer to damp skin and shave with the grain first. For edging and outlining, keep the layer thin so the line stays visible. Rinse the blade often.
What you'll notice: a closer, more comfortable shave with less irritation, and a cool, refreshing finish afterwards.

A toning shampoo for grey, silver and white hair, carrying violet and blue pigments (CI 60730 and CI 42090) that cancel the yellow cast grey hair picks up from sun, styling heat, smoke and hard water.
Who it's for: men going grey who want it to read silver rather than yellowed, and anyone maintaining a deliberate silver or platinum colour.
How to use: massage into wet hair and leave for one to three minutes before rinsing. Start at the shorter end — grey hair is often porous and takes pigment quickly. Once or twice a week is enough; use a regular shampoo in between.
What you'll notice: a cleaner, cooler grey from the first wash. The effect fades gradually, so it works best as a weekly habit rather than a one-time fix.
A toning mask that conditions and neutralises brass in the same step. It carries the same violet pigments as the purple shampoo (CI 60730, CI 42090) in a richer base, so bleached hair gets the moisture it needs while the warmth comes out.
Who it's for: blonde, highlighted or grey hair that is dry as well as brassy — which is most bleached hair, since lifting colour is what strips it in the first place.
How to use: on clean, towel-dried hair, work it through the mid-lengths and ends and leave for three to five minutes. Wear gloves if you would rather not tint your hands. Rinse with cool water.
What you'll notice: cooler tone plus real softness, and noticeably less tangling. Once a week is enough for most people; more often than that can build a violet cast on very porous hair.
Morfose Purple Rescue Duo: Purple Shampoo & Hair Mask for Blonde & Grey Hair
Morfose Purple Rescue Duo: Purple Shampoo & Hair Mask for Blonde & Grey Hair
Brass shows up between salon visits. This is the two-step that keeps it away.
Blonde, silver and grey hair turns warm as it oxidises — sun, hard water and heat all push it yellow. Purple pigment cancels that yellow on the tone wheel. The catch is that most purple shampoos are drying, so people use them sparingly and the brass creeps back.
This duo splits the job in two. The Purple Shampoo deposits pigment while it cleanses. The Purple Hair Mask deposits more pigment and puts moisture back, so you can tone as often as you need without the straw texture.

- Shampoo on wet hair. Leave 2–3 minutes for a light tone, up to 5 for more correction. Rinse.

- Start with once a week and adjust — more often if brass returns quickly.

A violet toning shampoo for blonde, highlighted, silver and grey hair. The pigments (CI 60730 and CI 42090) sit on the hair just long enough to cancel the yellow and orange tones that creep in as colour fades — violet sits opposite yellow on the colour wheel, which is the whole mechanism.
Who it's for: anyone stretching the time between salon visits, natural greys who want cool rather than yellowed white, and bleached hair that has started to look warm.
How to use: apply to wet hair and leave for one to three minutes, no longer. Start at one minute and work up — the pigment deposits fast, and too long leaves a dull violet cast. Use it once or twice a week and a regular shampoo the rest of the time.
What you'll notice: brassiness gone after the first wash and blonde reading cooler and brighter. Toning is maintenance, not a one-off: the effect fades over a few washes, which is why it works best on a schedule.
